Eco-dyeing with Jess Gannaway

Jess is an artist and educator who works primarily in textiles, experimenting with slow eco-dyeing and botanical printing techniques that harness processes of rust and decay to create unpredictable patterns on fabric. In this workshop, Jessica shares her love of eucalypts and the wonder of experimenting with plants in textile design. You will learn some basic techniques for dyeing with eucalypts and native bushfoods. You will bind textiles and plant matter together to produce a dye bundle, which will be processed through heat in a pot of eucalyptus dye after the workshop, and returned to you by mail.
