Join us for our popular Native Foods Tour and Taste experience on Saturday July 12. We have been running these immersive and unique events for over twenty five years. The day includes two guided tours and lunch for an experience designed to excite you about Australian native bush foods. The event runs from 11.15 am to approx 2.30pm.

Tours

• We start at the Cornucopia Living Heritage Centre (11.15am) on Australia’s environmental and cultural heritage – The ‘Cornucopia Australis’ Exhibition.  The exhibition features  a spectacular mural painted by Aboriginal artists Eileen Harrison and Jenny Murray-Jones portraying the environment as a natural cornucopia. Meet at 459 Tynong North Road, Tynong North, 1 km from Peppermint Ridge Farm.
• This is followed by a guided tour of  the established native food forest (12.00pm) at Peppermint Ridge Farm, 540 Tynong North road, Tynong North.

The tours are capped off with a three course lunch in the Schoolhouse Cafe. The menu showcases fresh, seasonal produce straight from our kitchen garden highlighting the unique flavours of Australian native foods. Everything we serve is grown and prepared in-house, finishing around 2.30pm.

Cost: ‘Cornucopia Australis’ Exhibition and Native Foods Forest garden tour & lunch $120.

Please note that we offer a set menu and are not able to accommodate all dietary requirements. Starters  are vegetarian with a chicken & vegetarian option for main course. Please check with us if you have questions before making your booking.
